Professor Kenny Mitchell

Professor Kenny Mitchell is a Disney Imagineer and head of research for The Walt Disney Company Ltd.

He has 19 years of experience delivering research results into commercial video games, including technology for Spielberg's BAFTA winning Boom Blox, the $1Bn Harry Potter and Disney Infinity video games ( He is developing technologies to blend the real and digital worlds for augmented reality, including installations, such as Project Skye, 8.3 million Star Wars selfies and interactive visual media production technologies.

He is Principal Investigator for Napier as part the EU ITN project DISTRO with 2 PhD studentships to offer for immediate start, one on Augmented Reality and one on Data Science.
