Professor Opens Up on His Love of Edinburgh, Cryptography and Innovation

In an interview with Inspired Edinburgh in The Victorian Townhouse, Professor Bill Buchanan outlined his career and the things that have motivated him. Along the way he outlined his love of his home city, cryptography and innovation, and his hopes for building a new world built on trust.

Buchanan runs The Cyber Academy in the School of Computing, and has been involved in creating three successful Cyber Security spin-outs. This includes Zonefox, who have developed a world-class product and have ambitious growth plans.

The interview outlines his pride and positiveness of working at Edinburgh Napier University, along with the privilege in walking in the same space as the great John Napier.
