Professor Bill Buchanan has been invited to present on health and social profiles in Scotland at the Data Forum 2016 conference on 27 September 2016 in Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh (and hosted by Holyrood Connect here).
The presentation will include one of the most extensive analytical studies of health and social care in Scotland, and includes profiles related to smoking, alcohol, crime, life expectancy and mental health for difference regions of Scotland.

The work is part of an extensive study of open source data within Scotland, Europe and other regions of the world. His presentation will include many new observations, and show how data can be used to understand differing demographics within the regions of Scotland.
Bill has been working with Adrian Smales, and in partnership in CM2000, with an aim of detecting the onset of illness. The core of this work is in data capture and analysis, and in searching for patterns of illness, and for anomalies.
