Huawei Authorized Network Academy (HANA)

The School of Computing reached an important agreement with the world leading Chinese company Huawei to start a new Huawei Authorized Network Academy (HANA). The formal contract will be signed soon. HANA solution is a global ICT technology education program launched by Huawei. Adopting the popular university-enterprise cooperation model, the solution features cooperation with universities in different countries in course development, training and certification. Based on Huawei's advanced technologies in the ICT area and leading market position, the solution helps promote the development of ICT technical workforce and ICT technology.

According to this agreement, the school of computing will benefit from :

- Free trainings and support for lecturers on 5 different learning pathways : Routing/Switching, Wireless, Security, Cloud Computing and Big Data.

- Free simulations tools.

- A set of work-placement offers for our students

It is also expected to collaborate with Huawei on many research fields including cyber security.
