International Conference of Big Data in Cyber Security 10 May 2016, Craiglockhart

10/05/2016 Craiglockhart Campus, 09.15 - 16.45 Tuesday 10 May 2016

The world is moving towards Big Data, and Cyber Security is one of its leading applications, with numerous events being tracked across a network infrastructure. At the same time, threats to organisations increase by the day, and many organisations have moved towards the integration of Secure Incident and Event Management (SIEM) to detect malicious activity. The Big Data challenge in Cyber Security is how to manage the huge amount of data generated on network events and turn it into intelligence that allows you to identify quickly and respond effectively to genuine threats.

The Cyber Academy, in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, is hosting an International Conference of Big Data in Cyber Security at Edinburgh Napier University’s Craiglockhart Campus on 10 May 2016, 09:15 – 16:45.
