Professor Hazel Hall
has been appointed to the programme Committee of the 9th International Evidence Based Library and Information (EBLIP) Conference, to be
held at Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA, in June 2017.
The EBLIP Conference is a biennial conference designed to promote the
use of best available evidence to improve library and information
practice in libraries of all types. It brings together practitioners, researchers and research students
involved in critical and reflective information practice to think
through new ways to address contemporary issues of evidence based
practice in less isolated, more collaborative, ways. The first EBLIP Conference took place in Sheffield, UK in 2001. The
success of this conference led to further successful conferences in
Edmonton (Canada, 2003), Brisbane (Australia, 2005), Chapel Hill (USA,
2007), Stockholm (Sweden, 2009), Salford (UK, 2011), Saskatoon (Canada,
2013), and Brisbane (Australia, 2015).
Professor Hazel Hall's previous association with the conference was as a keynote speaker at EBLIP6 in 2011 where she presented the paper Project output versus influence in practice: impact as a dimension of research quality. The slides from this keynote are available on SlideShare, and a journal article that draws on some the content of this presentation is also available.
