Digital engagement workshops across Scotland a great success
11/12/2015 Ayr (9 October), Elgin (30 October), Forfar (13 November) and Newton St Boswells (20 November)
Peter Cruickshank and Bruce Ryan hosted 4 workshops on digital engagement for Community Council and Registered Tenant organisation members. These workshops were aimed at finding solutions to major problems around CCs' and RTOs' internet communication, building on the January workshop and recent projects such as Hyperlocal Government Engagement Online and the 2012 and 2014 surveys of Community Council internet use.
The programme was funded by the Scottish Government's Community Empowerment unit, the Improvement Service and The Democratic Society.
Delegates were very happy with the levels of organisation, learning and networking at the workshops - especially opportunities to meet Scottish Government staff and peers from other Local Authorities. The workshops' learning and other outcomes may impact over 10,000 community councillors across Scotland.
