The event is strictly by personal invitation only, and sponsored by Flexeye and HyperCat. It is organised by Merlin, Lord Erroll  a cross-bench peer of the House of Lords, Chief of Scottish clan Hay, and hereditary Lord High Constable of Scotland. The event will discuss the multi-dimensional world of Smart Systems and the revolutionary impact that they are already having on our world. Smart Systems incorporate functions of sensing, actuation and control to analyse a situation, make decisions in a predictive or adaptive manner, thereby performing useful, constructive and timely actions. They include for example: robots, autonomous vehicles, self-healing machines, smart logistics, artificial organs, smart banking and smart utility management.
