Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD studentship within the Institute for Informatics and Digital Innovation. The studentship will cover tuition fees to home/EU level and will include a standard living allowance (stipend), currently £13,590 per annum.
Overseas students are eligible to apply, but will be liable to pay the difference between home/EU and overseas fees. Note that fees are subject to change annually throughout the programme of study.
The studentship is expected to start in September 2013. All applications must be received by Monday 1st July 2013, with interviews expected to take place on Wednesday 24th July 2013.
The Institute for Informatics and Digital Innovation comprises a number of research centres and undertakes research across a broad range of areas in computing and informatics including: bioinformatics; bio-inspired computing; autonomous systems, computer security and digital forensics; data mining; e-Democracy and e-Government; e-Health; human-computer interaction; information society; information visualization; interaction design; knowledge management; mobile and distributed computing; optimisation; pervasive adaptation; social informatics; and software reuse.
