Peter Cruickshank delivers briefing on risk and control issues around social media

Peter Cruickshank spoke to a meeting of the Scottish Local Authorities Chief Internal Auditors Group in Edinburgh on 27 March 2012. He highlighted the irresistible drivers towards increased use of social media by councils, their employees, and the citizens that they serve. He discussed the importance of risk mitigation - rather than risk avoidance - as the appropriate response.
