Sunday Herald Feature on Cyberbullying
Dr Alistair Duff was quoted in the Sunday Herald 17 October 2010, in a piece on the cyberbullying, so-called, of teachers. The focus was a local teacher who discovered some highly critical conversations on Bebo between some of her pupils. The teacher has apparently instigated criminal action against two pupils who declined to apologise. Alistair was interviewed at length and quoted as saying that 'cyberspace is the Wild West, untamed by law and social boundaries'. In fact, he had also advised that running to law was perhaps an overreaction, unless the material presented a serious physical danger.
